El Altet has announced that will double flights to northern Europe, Scandinavia and Russia, areas which are expected to increase flight frequencies and new destinations.
Alicante Airport will strengthen its links, especially with Norway, Sweden, Finland, Holland, Denmark, Russia and, curiously, with Algeria. Much of this increase stems from the residential tourism boom. The economic strength of the Nordic countries continues growing, reflecting an increase in the airport scheduled offering.
The airline Norwegian Air Shuttle will launch a new route to Gothenburg, retrieves the link it had with Oslo-Rygge and extend their flights to Helsinki. Also reinforcing other destinations as Bergen, Copenhagen, Oslo, Sandefjord and adding Stavanger with an additional frequency.
Scandinavian Airlines (SAS) resets the route with Copenhagen and will expand its flights to Stockholm and Kristiansand.
Also, the direct links between Alicante and Russia are not only maintained, but it will increase in number, the company Siberia Airlines will increase its operations from El Altet airport to Moscow-Domodevo with a new flight.
On the other hand, El Altet in autumn will also strengthen its connections with Britain with the return of British Airways and the launch of a new route Alicante-London Heathrow, also increase flights to Edinburgh, London and Southend East Midlands.
The Dutch Transavia has scheduled three new weekly flights between Alicante Airport and Weeze Germany, located a few kilometers from the German border-Dutch and German-Belgian. Meanwhile, the airline KLM group increases its operations to Amsterdam and Eindhoven.
Along Transavia, Vueling and Ryanair will also increase the supply in the Netherlands.
