The north of the Costa Blanca, with its quality services, excellent climate and cultural richness,
makes it one of the best tourist attractions in the world. The many areas for leisure and fun
are completed with the Terra Mítica theme park, one of the most striking theme parks in Europe,
and also with museums such as the MARQ museum or the famous Science Museum in Valencia.
The south of the Costa Blanca enjoys more than 2,800 hours of sun throughout the year and its average
annual temperature is approximately 19.3° C, making it the ideal place to live in during the whole
year. The numerous sunny days and clear skies makes the province of Alicante the perfect place to
enjoy holidays and leisure, as outdoor enjoyment is possible every day of the year.
The Costa Cálida extends from the peaceful Menor Sea waters to the impressive Aguilas cliffs.
The most popular summer resorts are located in the north, around the Menor Sea, while the
southern areas are relatively peaceful. Located on the border with Alicante you will find
the San Pedro del Pinatar salt works. These salt works are of Roman origin and have been
declared a Regional Park. The town of San Pedro del Pinatar also has a famous mud bath
health resort in addition to monuments such as the clock house and various XVII Century
defence towers.
